New kitchen countertops in Phoenix can change the look of a kitchen faster than almost anything else. Maybe your laminate is chipped at the edges, your tile counters have grout that never comes clean, or there just isn't enough space to cook. You've probably wiped, scrubbed and set cutting boards over the worst spots. We install quartz, granite and marble counters as a stand-alone job or as part of a full kitchen remodel, and we can usually come out to measure within about two days.
When You Need Kitchen Countertops
Signs it's time include laminate that's peeling or swollen near the sink, chips and burns you can't hide, tile counters with stained or cracked grout, and seams that collect dirt. Counters that are too short or too narrow for the way you cook are another reason, and so is a remodel where new cabinets or an island need tops.
Water is the thing to watch. Once it gets under a laminate edge or through broken grout, it starts working on the cabinet below. Replacing the top before that happens is cheaper than replacing the top and the cabinet later.
Choosing the material is the biggest decision. Think about how you cook, how much upkeep you want, and how the counter will look with your cabinets and floor. It's worth seeing a full slab before you decide, since natural stone varies from piece to piece.
Our Kitchen Countertops Process
We start by measuring your cabinets and talking through materials. Quartz is engineered stone that comes in a wide range of looks, including marble-look patterns like the Calacatta quartz in several of our kitchens. Granite is natural stone with its own pattern in every slab. Marble is the classic look.
Once you've chosen, we remove the old counters, check that the cabinets are level, and install the new tops with the sink cutout, edges and seams finished. We often pair new counters with a new backsplash so the two are done together. Your schedule is in the written estimate.
If your cabinets are staying, they need to be level and solid, because a stone top is heavy. Any repair should happen before the counter is set, so the top sits flat and the seams stay tight.
Kitchen Countertops Cost in Phoenix
Price depends on the material and slab you choose, how many square feet you need, the edge profile, and the number of cutouts for sinks and cooktops. A waterfall edge or an extra-large island top uses more material. Removing old tile counters takes more work than removing laminate.
You'll get a free, line-item estimate in writing, with no hidden fees. We have accounts with major Arizona suppliers, which often means a better price on slabs than buying direct.
If you're comparing quotes from more than one company, make sure each one includes removal of the old counters, the sink cutout, edge finishing and reconnecting the sink. Those are easy items to leave off a low number.
