Peoria stretches a long way north, from its Old Town and Pioneer Community Park on 83rd Avenue all the way up to Lake Pleasant. We remodel kitchens, bathrooms and floors across the city from our Phoenix office, and we can usually come out to measure within about two days of your call.
Around Peoria
Peoria was named after Peoria, Illinois, and today it reaches across two counties. Most of the city is in Maricopa County, but its northern part extends into Yavapai County, where Lake Pleasant, a reservoir on the Agua Fria River, became part of Peoria in 1996.
Closer in, 83rd Avenue ties much of the city together. Pioneer Community Park is on 83rd Avenue at 8755 North, and the Peoria Sports Complex is farther up at 16101 North. Between Bell Road and Thunderbird Road, the city has branded the 83rd Avenue stretch as an entertainment district called P83. Old Town is home to the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, which opened in 2006.
Planning a Remodel in Peoria
Peoria has its own building department and its own permit rules. As a general rule, work that moves walls or changes plumbing, electrical or gas lines usually needs a permit, while painting and other cosmetic updates usually don't. The exact list is the city's call.
We sort that out at the walkthrough, before your estimate is written, so the price and schedule account for any permit your project needs. Plumbing and electrical go to licensed partners we coordinate.
