Kitchen remodeling in Phoenix usually starts when the kitchen stops working for the way you live. The counters are too small to cook on, the cabinets are falling apart, and the layout means someone is always in the way. You've probably lived with it longer than you planned, and every month that goes by is another month of cooking around the problem. We remodel kitchens across Phoenix and the Valley, from cabinet refreshes to full tear-outs with new islands. We can usually come out to measure within about two days of your call.
Signs You Need Kitchen Remodeling
The most common sign is simply running out of room. There's no place to set things down while you cook, the cabinets are stuffed, and the kitchen is closed off from the rest of the house. Other signs are cabinet doors that won't stay shut, drawers that fall apart, laminate counters that are chipped or peeling, and lighting so dim you can't see what you're cutting.
Some problems get worse the longer they sit. A cabinet base that's been wet from a slow leak under the sink keeps swelling, and worn counters around the sink let water into the cabinets below. Waiting turns a refresh into a replacement.
Not every kitchen needs to be gutted. If the cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works, refinishing or refacing the cabinets with new counters and backsplash can change the whole room for a lot less. If the layout is the problem, or the cabinets are failing, a full remodel is usually the better spend. We'll tell you honestly which one fits your kitchen and your budget.
Our Kitchen Remodeling Options
Every kitchen starts with a free walkthrough. Owner Elodia Cruz comes out, measures and talks through what you want and what the house will allow. From there, a kitchen remodel can be as simple as new or refinished cabinets with fresh counters, or as big as taking down a wall to open the kitchen to the living room.
Kitchen Islands are one of our specialties. We build islands with seating, storage and cabinets underneath, including waterfall islands where a single slab runs over the top and down both sides. One of our Phoenix kitchens got a Calacatta quartz waterfall island with white shaker cabinets and a custom chevron wood range hood.
If the cabinets are the problem, Cabinet Replacement & Refinishing covers everything from new cabinets to refacing or refinishing the ones you have. In one kitchen we refinished the existing cabinets white and wrapped the island in stacked stone, which changed the room without a full tear-out.
New Kitchen Countertops are often the single biggest change you can see. We install quartz, granite and marble, cut and finished to fit your cabinets. Most of the kitchens in our gallery have quartz, which handles daily use well.
Finally, Backsplash & Lighting finish the room. We install full-height backsplashes, glass and brick mosaics and floating shelves, and add new lighting. In one hickory kitchen we built a new tray ceiling with recessed lighting and a fan, which made the whole room brighter.
Many kitchens use all four. A full remodel usually includes demolition, new cabinets, new flooring, backsplash and new lighting, all on one schedule with one crew.
Kitchen Remodeling for Phoenix Homes
If your kitchen is closed off from the living or dining room, opening that wall and adding an island changes how the whole house feels when you have people over. Taking down walls is part of many of the full kitchen remodels we do.
Phoenix tap water is hard. The City of Phoenix says that comes from minerals like calcium and magnesium, so we steer customers toward surfaces that are easy to keep clean. A quartz counter and a tile backsplash wipe down fast. And in a city that averages more than 100 days a year at 100°F or hotter, many people want kitchen flooring that stays cool, like tile or luxury vinyl plank.
We work from our office on West Maryland Avenue in Phoenix and remodel kitchens across the Valley, including Glendale, Peoria, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa, Avondale and Goodyear. We have accounts with major Arizona suppliers, so whatever store you'd like your materials from, we probably have access to it, often at a better price than you could get yourself.
What to Expect
When you call, we set up a time to come out, usually within about two days. The owner measures your kitchen, listens to what you want and points out anything the house might need, like a permit or an HOA approval. A day or two later you get a written, line-item estimate with a schedule and a payment plan tied to milestones. No "today only" pricing and no pressure to sign.
Most kitchens take 4 to 8 weeks. Our own crew does the work, with daily cleanup and regular updates, and plumbing and electrical go to licensed partners we coordinate. At the end we walk the kitchen with you and finish the punch list before we call it done.
During the remodel your kitchen will be out of use for a while, so we'll talk through the schedule up front and let you know which weeks you'll be without a sink or stove. Many families set up a small temporary kitchen in another room with a microwave and a coffee maker. We keep the work area clean and keep you updated as each stage finishes.
Why Choose Us for Kitchen Remodeling
We're licensed by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors under ROC #333884, bonded and insured, and BBB Accredited with an A+ rating. Elodia writes every estimate, and she or her son Ivan is on site supervising. If something comes up in the middle of the job, the person who can decide is already there.
Most of our kitchens run about $10,000 to $15,000 at the low end, up to $30,000 to $40,000 for a full remodel, and you'll see every line before we start. Every kitchen comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty in writing.
We'll also be honest when a smaller project will get you what you want. If refinishing your cabinets and adding new counters gives you the kitchen you're after, we'll tell you that instead of selling you a full tear-out.
Every week you wait is another week of cooking around the problem. Call (480) 313-1422 and we'll come out to measure, usually within about two days.
