Luxury vinyl plank flooring is a popular choice in Phoenix homes, and it's easy to see why. If you've got stained carpet, mismatched floors from room to room, or old vinyl that's peeling up at the seams, LVP fixes all of it with one floor. Maybe you've priced it at a big-box store and found the quote left out demolition and prep. We do the tear-out, the prep and the install with our own crew, and we can usually come out to measure within about two days.
It's also one of the easiest floors to live with from day to day.
When You Need Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring
Good times to switch to LVP are when carpet is worn and stained in the walkways, when old sheet vinyl is curling or bubbling, when you have three different floors between the front door and the kitchen, or when you're getting a rental or flip ready for the next person.
LVP is a strong fit for kitchens, living areas and bedrooms, especially in homes with kids or pets. It handles spills better than carpet. If your old floor is loose or the slab has high spots, it's worth fixing now, before it damages the new floor.
When choosing a plank, look at the thickness of the wear layer, the color and texture, and whether the plank has an attached pad. A thicker wear layer stands up better in busy homes and rentals. It helps to see samples in your own light before you decide.
Our Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring Process
We start by measuring every room and helping you pick a plank. Then we remove the old flooring, whether that's carpet, tile or vinyl, clean and prep the slab, and lay underlayment where the floor needs it.
The planks click together and float over the floor, so the slab underneath has to be flat. That prep is the part a rushed install skips. On one Phoenix job we installed LVP over underlayment through the main living areas and bedrooms, so the whole house reads as one floor. We finish with transitions and baseboards so the edges are clean. For many jobs we can do the prep and install on the same day, and your schedule is in the written estimate.
Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring Cost in Phoenix
Price depends on the square footage, the plank you choose, what has to come out first, and how much prep the slab needs. Tile removal takes more work than carpet removal. Stairs and lots of doorways add labor too.
Your estimate is free and itemized, with tear-out, prep, material and labor each on their own line. No hidden fees. We have accounts with major Arizona suppliers, so the planks often cost less than buying them yourself.
If you're doing more than one room, running the same plank through the whole house usually looks better and costs less per foot than mixing several different floors.
