Tile flooring in Phoenix makes sense for a lot of reasons. It's cool underfoot, it stands up to sand and dust tracked in from outside, and it's easy to mop. Maybe your current tile is cracked, the grout is stained dark, or you're replacing carpet and want something that lasts. We remove old floors, prep the slab and install porcelain and ceramic tile with our own crew.

Done right, a tile floor can last for decades.

When You Need Tile Flooring

Signs it's time include cracked or loose tiles, grout that's stained or crumbling, tiles that sound hollow when you tap them, and a dated pattern that makes the room feel old. Carpet in a kitchen, dining room or bathroom is another reason to switch.

Tiles that crack in a line, or keep coming loose in the same area, often point to a problem with the slab or the old setting bed. Putting new tile over that without fixing it just repeats the problem.

Tile also needs the right choice for the room. Porcelain is dense and holds up to water and heavy traffic, which makes it a strong pick for kitchens, baths and entries. Ceramic is a good value for walls and lighter-use rooms.

Our Tile Flooring Process

We start by measuring and helping you choose tile. We install porcelain and ceramic, including wood-look plank tile and large-format tile. Then we remove the old floor, check the slab for cracks and high spots, and prep it so the tile sits flat.

We lay out the pattern before setting, so cuts land at the edges instead of the middle of the room. Large-format tile means fewer grout lines and less to scrub. In one Phoenix home we installed large-format marble-look porcelain in the dining area off the kitchen. After the tile is set, we grout, clean up and reinstall baseboards. For many jobs we can do prep and install on the same day. Your schedule is in the written estimate.

Grout color matters more than most people expect. A grout close to the tile color hides dirt and makes the floor look calmer, while a contrasting grout shows off the pattern. It's worth deciding before the first tile goes down.

Where the tile meets a different floor, the transition at the doorway should be planned so the heights meet cleanly and nothing becomes a trip hazard.

Tile Flooring Cost in Phoenix

Cost depends on the tile you choose, the size of the area, the pattern, and how much demolition and slab prep is needed. Large-format tile and patterns like herringbone take more time to lay than a standard grid.

You'll get a free, line-item estimate in writing, with no hidden fees, before any work starts.

A simple layout in a standard tile size is the easiest way to keep tile flooring on budget. Large-format tile and patterns add labor, but they also add a lot of style.
